UIP/VPI Technical Guideline on the Evaluation of SCCs for Rail Freight Vehicles – UIP

The joint UIP/VPI document (available in EN, DE and FR) is aimed at providing a common understanding for Keepers, ECMs and manufacturers on identifying Safety Critical Components of rail freight wagons. The compliance of the applied methodology with the provisions of the CSM on Risk Assessment (EU regulation 402/2013) has been confirmed by an Assessment Body (AsBo).

The structure of the analysis is mapped to the VPI European Maintenance Guideline recognised structure listing the main components of a rail freight wagons
