UIP report on the changes in RID 2023

The new provisions of the Regulations concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail (RID) shall enter into force on the 1st of January 2023. It can be downloaded from the OTIF website.

The new rules shall be applied after a transition period of 6 months. However, for most of the changes listed below, there are long or even indefinite transitional provisions.

The UIP Guidelines aim to facilitate the understanding of those changes in the RID 2023 version relevant to Keepers and ECM of tank wagons.
