UIP 49th Management Report 1998

In addition to UIP’s traditional areas of action, the year 1998 saw our relations with the European Commission grow.

The desire for several years to be present at the European level has borne fruit and today UIP is an association recognized within the transport sector.

Within its more traditional fields of activity, UIP, with its Management Board, its committees and its study groups, has continued its collaboration with the Intergovernmental Organisation for International Carriage by Rail (OTIF) as well as with the UIC, on leaflet 433; the guarantee agreement and on several technical developments of the wagons.
