UIP 48th Management Report 1997

During 1997, the Management Board, the Committee and its study groups focused on diverse issues. The predominant issues were the reorganisation of the right of the wagons at the international level by the Intergovernmental Organisation for International Carriage by Rail (OTIF) and the discussion with the Union International of railways (UIC) concerning an amendment of the guarantee agreement.

UIP’s manifesto, published in March, in which we publicly expose our objectives and our wishes, will certainly be a source of ideas and thoughts for the railways of the future Europe.
