UIP 28th Management Report 1977

The evolution of the international environment remained on average quite disappointing in Europe. We observed almost everywhere a pause in the recovery movement that was initiated in 1976 and the situation worsened in certain industries. 1977 was the fourth year of crisis and the economic horizon is still dominated by it.

The railways experienced the same situation, which led to contrasting movements in traffic operated with private wagons from a sector to another: decline, status quo or recovery.
