UIP 25th Management Report 1974

Hardly ever since the Second World War, economic, structural and monetary problems had been so serious and largely and widespread in Europe and in the world.

Due to the recession, the need for private wagons from the user industry was largely satisfied during the previous year. However, for certain kind of wagons, the excess took on worrying proportions, for example, with car transporters, grain wagons or, to a lesser extent, for tank wagons intended for the carriage of flammable liquids.
