A warm welcome to UIP President Johann Feindert

Taking over from David Zindo, who stepped down earlier in the year as ERMEWA representative and UIP President, the Executive Board consisting of the 4 biggest wagon keepers and 4 national association representatives confirmed the new UIP Presidency in April 2025 with Johann Feindert as the new UIP President and Per-Anders Benthin as Vice-President.

Johann Feindert has been a long standing member of the Executive Board and with over 30+ years in the sector, he is a well-experienced expert in the rail freight business. Having started as a technician at KVG Kesselwagen Vermietgesellschaft mbH start-up in 1991, he rose through its ranks and management, and ultimately became the CEO of GATX Rail Europe.
