UIP 18th Management Report 1967

The 1966 Management report pointed out private wagons keepers’ efforts to modernise their fleet which represented more than 175’000 wagons in the eleven UIP countries.

The report also noted the trend in the rejuvenation process to produce wagons with bogies, more suitable for the automatic coupling procedure according to the railway companies’ technical departments.

This report also stressed UIP’s unanimous efforts towards a more efficient organisation of the relations with administrations and the UIC in particular and the already acquired results on this issue: the enlarged competency and powers of the common UIC/UIP working group and the creation of the UIC/UIP steering group.

The 1967 Management report is also available in both French and German.
