UIP 19th Management Report 1968
1968 General Assembly took note of the current situation of private wagons, the measures decided by the UIC/UIP common working group on private wagons and the programme suggested by the Board for 1968.
During the last year, the rejuvenation process of the fleet was further accelerated. Requirements set by the main administrations regarding the 80 k.p.h. traffic from the 1st of January 1970 caused the scrap or the transformation of a large number of wagons on the occasion of the periodic review. This will be also the case for 1969.
