UIP welcomes new staff

The present Secretary General of UIP, Dr. Holger Segerer had already informed UIP that he had decided to move from Brussels and thus to leave UIP by end of this year.

In its meeting on the 19th September 2012 in Berlin, the UIP Executive Board thanked Dr. Segerer for his work during the last years and unanimously nominated the present Technical Coordinator of UIP, Mr. Gilles Peterhans, as future Secretary General, starting on 1st January 2013. Mr Peterhans has a long lasting experience in European matters and, before he joined the UIP, he worked as CEO of a Swiss wagon keeper.

By 1st December 2012 the UIP team will be joined by Maria Price as Manager European Affairs. During the last years, she has acquired a lot of experience in the rail sector on international level and namely in Brussels.

By this decision, the Board wants to assure a seamless continuation of all important UIP matters.
