UIP National Associations (NA) Committee

The National Associations Committee brings together all the UIP members (one representative per association) and provides the platform for the coordination of the national activities and for consensus-building on relevant topics. as such, the Committee has an important role to play in addressing UIP’s position nationally while at the same time bringing national issues to european level.

The tasks of the Committee consist in:
  • coordinating the national lobbying* if required
  • informing the Executive Board on national matters with influence/effect to UIP in order to accelerate topics on EU level
  • lobbying*/defending UIP matters on national level (mirroring of transposition of EU legislation into national law)
  • recommending to the Executive Board on the UIP work scope and priorities and on matters considered to be important to the NAs
  • organizing translations, if required by the members of the National Associations
